Yes, It is the right time to think about to play a role in conserving/preserving the nature. Join hands to help our children and our grand children to enjoy the living wonders by seeing the polar bears, Salamanders, Cheetahs, Black Rhinos etc. in the further decades. Of course, Hollywood industry will make movies on them when such creatures become extinct. But, we should not go to such extents by wathching those species getting vanished.

Thousand minds can think and help better than hundreds. Let us take the responsibility to strengthen the minds of those who fights to save nature.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.

- Robert Frost

Thought the context of the poem may not suit this article, but this piece suits well and good for the scene.

DO NOT ADULTERATE : Languages at risk

When I met my colleague last week at my workplace, he was sharing his living experience in India where he had a chance to visit the land of mass cultures a month ago. I was happy to hear from him that he stayed in Tamil Nadu for a month. But later was the shocking info which has whacked me down to the floor when he said he has learnt the local language with atmost proficiency. How come a German can learn one of the classical Indian languages within a month on his first visit? I stuttered the very nano of a second in asking him the ways that how he has learnt the language. He continued with an example of what he had heard from his Indian colleague when he was picked from the airport.

His colleague : “ Hallo Boss, flight vandhu 2 hrs late…… ,,,……Michael ai pick panittu office ku 30 mins la reach aiyduvom “

Michael had no query about the call since the conversation was pretty obvious to understand about what has been conveyed and to whom it was conveyed. He defines that, Tamil is the language whose dialect is very similar to that of English and is easy to learn Tamil in a span of 4 weeks. No wonder he had such thoughts in his mind. To be frank, I really struggled to find an exact vocabulary to comment on the conversation above. Can it be commented as saying “Adulteration” or “Tarnishing” or whatever? What a shame. I wish Michael will not read this blog.

This incident has taken a toll at my heart. From my point, I felt guilty at this situation because even I had played the role of language depletion so as a result, that god’s own divine language was under-estimated by a foreigner. Instantly to my anger, I was under siege where I was not able to make him understand exactly what really my language is. Though our patriotism towards the nation cannot be ever matched to any foreign soils’, the loyalty to our mother tongue is at a red alert danger. I became the victim who failed to stand for the legacy of my beloved Tamil. I’m sure this situation holds good for all the Indian languages.

Tamil, one of the classical languages of all time flourishing since the Stone Age and is dwarfed by its own children. Why the secondary language has occupied the major places in the primary part of the brain leaving the primary language in peril. I can dedicate a separate blog for this particular title with an objective of bringing this issue to the limelight. We know precisely what has to be done as a remedy and if it has to be said in simple words I would say,

Statutory Warning: DO NOT ADULTERATE LANGUAGES

On an outline, we are merely in the 21st century and it is just the beginning when the similar situation will be seen after 100 years. Just imagine how depth will be the infiltration by these lingual parasites. A change in a system cannot take place drastically, the smaller changes which are made over the time makes the difference when it is seen comprehensively after many years.

So, now it is upto us to make the recession to put the devil once again in the bottle.

Geese Facts - Lessons from a bird

Next fall when you see geese heading south for the winter... flying along in V formation...you might consider what science has discovered as to why they fly that way:

As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in V formation the whole flock adds at least 71% greater flying range, than if each bird flew on its own.
People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going more quickly and easily because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.

When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go it alone... and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front. If we have as much sense as a goose, we will stay in formation with those who are headed the same way we are.

When the head goose gets tired it rotates back in the wing and another goose flies point. It is sensible to take turns doing demanding jobs...with people or with geese flying south.

Geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed. What do we say when we honk from behind?

Finally...and this is important...when a goose gets sick or is wounded by gunshots, and falls out of formation, two other geese fall out with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly or until it dies, and only then do they launch out on their own, or with another formation to catch up with their group.

If we have the sense of a goose, we will stand by each other like that.

Are we ready for the challenge?

This is the report on World Fashion Clothing Business from an Indian fashion business people perspective. Indian garment producers are acquiring the unique production status for the world wide fashion retailer brands and the designer brands. We follow the 5S policies and even the stringent European norms for environmental safety in fabric processing and are accredited by ECO certification and TÜV certifications. Moreover the export houses are acquiring the 5 star stamps from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade ( DGFT). We are becoming powerful in terms of exports year by year and the amount of foreign trade is at its peak of growth in a steady state.

But when the situation is brought under the ultra scanner for a macro economical research, it becomes evident that the situation is not progressing towards a sustainable growth. The producers are in a posture of adventurous walk on a circus rope who tries to maintain their balance and in a need of a major rescue from the trade policies inland. The entire production industry in the textile sector is surrounded by the leeches from the north east frontiers of the nation. I am talking about the Chinese and the Bangladesh markets. They are progressing in a pace right upwards steeply and steadily and they aren’t much worried about the drop of dollar rates in the International exchange.

When this competition is at its peak, the production industry in the nation is enforced to encounter a serious trouble in the major nation-wide. There are various barriers suppressing the growth of the entire textile sector in terms of ergonomics and economies of scale. The processing industry is forced to limit its capacity of production due to the environmental factors. On the other hand, the energy crisis munches the lead time of the entire industry’s productivity. When such industrial products are brought under the limelight of the concerned authorities, the trade factors leaps in front like a giant and it thwarts the industrial expansion ideas to the recycling bins. When the raw material costs increases at an angle of 45 degrees every week and the finished goods are liable to 30 % processing fee and taxes, the economists can even begin a research in the new trends in terms of Market Elasticity in the Apparel production industry. I’m sure he will be awarded the gold medal because it is such a poking factor which really threatening the entire textile production sector.

If this situation prevails, the small scale manufacturers will have to risk their investments and have to face the credit consequences. The entry to the new markets is also unfeasible since the whole industry is saturated with the acquainted market segment. It is highly impossible to enter the premium clothing business without any foreign direct investment in terms of provisions to expand the capacity and supply chain. It is a situation where we are unable to expand ourselves in terms of capacity and even it is unable to expand the market segment in a feasible way. We are walking on the iron bridge with the fire heating the bridge underneath.

Though the recommendations are ready to discuss with the authorities who may bring up a solution, the political climate is not encouraging at the moment and it is evident that our business men have to walk some more all the way along the red hot iron bridge. The question is why we did not foresee this situation a year ago. The policies on trade has to be made in such a way by measuring the longevity of the market and its saturation which makes the business to run but not the temporary solutions to run the businesses.
